Summary: Jerry was a wonderful and kind host. His house was perfect for our group climbing trip of 6 people. The house has a direct view of Seneca Rocks and it was an amazing spot to relax after a long day of climbing. So much better than camping, but still affordable! I can't wait to stay there again for our next climbing trip.

Summary: Jerry very nice and accommodating. Gave us some information on a new hiking spot with some great views. Crazy thing is I’ve been going up there since I was a teenager and never knew about it. My girls liked Jerry. He would stop over and check on his cows and ask if we was good or needing anything. Helped us with the fire and firewood. If you’re going up there consider this a spot. The view alone when you walk out is worth it. Thank you again Jerry for opening your home to us. Until next time.

Summary: Our family stayed at Seneca Rocks cottage for three nights and four days. The cottage is within walking distance of the trail up the mountain, or you can drive over and park. We were within walking distance of the creek for fishing and playing/swimming. The front yard is big enough to play outdoor games like soccer, football, and baseball. We had no trouble connecting to the wifi, and the signal was strong and consistent during our entire stay. We drove into Elkins (about a 30-35 trip) for dinner one evening. The other two nights we prepared food in the kitchen and grilled hotdogs and hamburgers on the outside grill. We did our big grocery shopping trip in Elkins on our way to the cottage. There is a store within walking distance from the cottage if you forget any supplies or need to restock on things like milk or bread, but I wouldn't shop for all my groceries for a large group of people there. We had seven people during our stay and didn't have any issues with there only being one bathroom. The beds are extremely firm, which wasn't an issue for most of our group. However, if you like a soft mattress, I would recommend bringing your own queen size pillow top pad. The owner, Jerry, lives nearby and came by each day to take care of a few outdoor things at the property and get water to the cows out back. He was very helpful in answering questions and giving recommendations for activities in the area.
